Our Club was established in 1963 to enable Land Rover enthusiasts to meet and further enjoy their unique vehicles.

Why become a Member ?

  • 4WD training - The Club runs its own Driver training programs for beginners and intermediate levels, (via our Four Wheel Drive Victoria accredited Club instructors),
  • Join in the many 4WD trips run by Members during the year to local and interstate destinations,
  • Attend the social events and functions organised by the Club, to enable Land Rover enthusiasts to get together and discuss their vehicles,
  • Get access to a wealth of knowledge from the Member community,
  • Receive bi-monthly copies of our Club magazine "Review" containing interesting articles about 4 Wheel driving,
  • Participate in the VicRoads Club Permit Scheme, which allows for approved non-registered vehicles to be driven on the road,
  • Be covered by Four Wheel Drive Victoria's 'Club Insurance' while participating in any of the many Club approved activities.

Any person who is the owner or driver of a Land Rover marque vehicle or a vehicle equipped with a four-wheel drive dual range capacity or equivalent may become a member of the Club.

If you are intending to place a Vehicle on the Club Permit Scheme (CPS) then you must read the relevant information about the Club Permit Scheme and contact the Club’s Club Permit Registrar, before you apply for a Club Permit. There are certain Policies and Procedures in place which you will need to adhere to, to obtain a Club Permit for a vehicle.

All new memberships are subject to a three (3) month probationary period during which time new members are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings to meet existing members and learn more about the Club.  Probationary members are not eligible to participate in the Club Permit Scheme.

You will get access to the Members area where you can book to go on trips and training courses.

  All Membership Levels

 All current financial members receive the following benefits:

  1. The right to vote on all Club business at Club meetings, either in person or by proxy
  2. The right to register to attend advertised trips or events
  3. A Club name badge for each member, with option to purchase additional badges for family members
  4. A bi-monthly copy of the Club Review magazine via email
  5. Dependent family members, partners or other people who normally reside with the member may attend trips or events together with the member
  6. Membership includes affiliation with Four Wheel Drive Victoria, access to their publications such as Trackwatch and insurance cover for specified events.
  7. Any new Membership applicant who is a child of a current financial member and who does not qualify as a Young Adult Member, may apply to the Membership Officer requesting a reimbursement of their joining fee.

Single Member


  

As per all Membership Levels, plus below:

  1. Option to select a 'Printed' copy of the Review magazine

Joint Member

A Joint Membership allows one additional person who is either a spouse, a partner or an immediate dependent under the age of 26 to be defined as the Joint Member. The Joint Member will then be considered a member in their own right.

Note: The Joint Member must reside at the same residential address to be covered by FWD Vic Insurance.

As per all Membership Levels, plus below: 

  1. Option to select a 'Printed' copy of the Review magazine
  2. The additional cost for a Joint Member is $15 which is added to the Single Member's annual LROCV fee.

Young Adult Member

LROCV is offering discounted membership fees to Young Adults who are under 30 years of age on the 30th June in any given year. Proof of date of birth will be requested during Probationary period.

As per all Membership Levels, plus below:

  1. Joining Fee waived for new members
  2. 50% Discount on LROCV Annual Fee
  3. 50% Discount on LROCV Driver Training Courses
  4. Review Magazine (Electronic Copy only)

The Club membership year starts on the 1st  July each year.  Pro-rata fees are calculated by the system and applied on a monthly basis to reduce the membership fee for those joining during the membership year.  The membership Fee includes the Four Wheel Drive Victoria Affiliation fee, which includes an insurance component. The one off joining fee is paid when first joining the Club

Membership Application Process

  1. Fill in and submit the on-line application form including confirmation that you agree to abide by the Club Rules and Policies and Procedures.  These can be found here => Club Rules, Policies and Procedures
  2. Pay your joining fee using the Stripe payment gateway that has been integrated into our website**.
  3. Once payment is made, you will receive an email with confirmation of payment and a welcome email with instructions on how to access use the member area of the website.
  4. New members are invited to come along to a Club meeting to receive their membership pack and be introduced to the Club members.  Club meets first Thursday of each month, except January.  Upcoming meeting details are on the home page of the website. (If it is not possible for you to attend a meeting,  your membership pack will be posted to you)
  5. Once you join the Club, the first 3 months of your membership is probationary . During this period it is expected that you will involve yourself in some of the Clubs activities so that you can get to know the Club and its members and they you. 

** We are a volunteer organisation and it would help us greatly if you registered and paid online using the Credit Card Facility.

Refund Policy - Land Rover Owners Club of Victoria Inc.

Joining fee and Membership fees are non refundable, however....

  • Refunds will be issued if a member has overpaid their Membership fee and/or Joining fees.
  • Refunds will also be made if a new application is not approved by the Club.
  • Refund payments will be made by crediting the original credit card account.
  • Refunds will be paid within fourteen (14) days from date of request.
  • Refund requests are to made by email to lrocv.members@gmail.com
